Smash Television
Smash Television 1 (also known as Smash 1 or Smash TV1) (formerly TVM3 ) is a Maltese television station. Smash is privately owned and maintains a neutral editorial position in which different opinions on Maltese politics are expressed. It remains much smaller than the older stations. The Channel was originally launched by the Public Broadcasting Services on 17 September 1988 as TVM3 and all the entertainment television programmes previously broadcast on other TVM channels were moved to there.
In 1994, The channel was rebranded as Smash TV. Digital terrestrial transmission began in 14 July 2007
In 11 February 2009, when Smash TV2 was launched, Smash TV was rebranded as Smash TV1.
